Default WTB remote control and I-pilot

I have an older power drive v1 with the flat plug that I’d like to upgrade to remote steer or auto steer (straight line or contour/depth) if possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Here is a post I put on another post a couple weeks ago. I don’t know if you can do this to your motor for I pilot or not. But if you will call the folks I listed they will walk you through it. Just have your serial number when you call.

If you are looking for new call these folks. I just redid one for a friend a couple of months ago. Got the new board and new copilot. Changing out board it comes with a plug adapter changes over where it’s the newer round plug set up. Basically changes it to newer V2 motor. Just have your serial number and they can fix you up. Super nice folks to deal with.

if your powerdrive is 2001 and newer. a control board for powerdrive v2 and a i pilot link will get you what you want. you wont be able to use a foot pedal with a i pilot on a powerdrive unless you do a little mod by adding a switch to switch between the two. 1999 to 2001 powdrive can be made to work with a i pilot link. but its a little more work.

    I have a 2004 Powerdrive V1 Model 55PD - I looked into adding co-pilot or i-pilot with a lot of research.

To upgrade to V2 round cables and add Co-Pilot and AutoPilot:
    Part# 2884057 - 12 volt PowerDrive V2 control board with autopilot
Part# 2991287 - cord for 60" shaft with wires for autopilot
Part# 2884024 - compass that goes into head unit
Part# COVKITPD/AP - head unit assembly that includes the mounting brackets and button AutoPilot
Part# 1866160 - Co-Pilot kit that includes remote, side plates, and electrical box
Total Price - $453.50 plus shipping

To add i-Pilot (doesn't require autopilot):
    Part# 2884055 - 12v PowerDrive V2 control board
Part# 2884055 - i-Pilot kit with remote and other items
Total Price - $585.00 plus shipping

From my research I don't think you can upgrade a PowerDrive V1 to the new I-Link that allows connection to newer Humminbird units for the "follow contour" feature, I could be wrong though. Upgrading to i-Pilot is about as close as you can get.

cray has good info.here is a little northland marine 715 546 2333 talk to jason he is very good at this .good with people will talk you through problems.i have had trouble with boards when old reciver board quit after 17 years.had to upgrade they up dated boards.it is simple change out main board install new reciver board it is co pilot bd.new bd did not work after very little use.he replaced both bd free.that is very rare with any elct parts.bds malfuctioned after about 30 hours use.called an we did trouble shootings on phone.i had checked all voltage wires ect.this is something you want to do i had keep old main bd so i put it in (old flat plug)an used foot control for about 20 hours t m worked fine.so we felt sure that was not problem. after 2 sets of boards jason said its rare but someone will have problems like i did what he told me was to unplug TM before you charge batterys.i did not no this (he said it tells in manual or should?)when charging if their is a surge it will fry boards .it should not,but that is only possible thing.i read a few posts of same problem. most times it is something done wrong when installed. prop will turn with out being turned on,or drive moter turns.it like it has a mind of it own. so be sure an un plug before charging.an i was able to use tm while waiting on parts which was nice since i fish most days.

Turns out my unit is too old to be worth upgrading. It’s a ‘92 model. It runs good and works great just want to upgrade.
