Yes. Powerdrive V2 are i-pilot compatible. Regular Powerdrives are not.

I havery a regular powerdrive that o converted to a V2 by changing control board. The TM just needs the round foot pedal connection to install I-pilot and from the pic, it's good to go.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I finally had the opportunity to get the boat out with the new Motorguide XI5, unbelievable piece of equipment. The anchor mode is dead on the money. All I can say is why in the heck did I wait so long to buy this motor!!! Life is so much easier on the water now.

I'm a Humminbird guy and MG is not compatible. I will wait on getting the I-pilot link until they overhaul it and maybe come down on the price. Follow the contour feature is what I want. If I still had Lowrance units, I'd get one! How well does the anchor feature work in the wind?

How well does the anchor feature work in the wind? I have a fairly heavy boat, Ranger Reata 186VS, I have nothing to compare it to such as the I-Pilot, but I was absolutely stunned at how well it holds position in the wind. It is absolutely crazy!! with the other trolling motor I would get so fricking mad because of control issues during windy days, basically saying the hell with it and call it a day. Today, I could literally walk around the boat while in anchor mode, fix, re-tie, re-rig, change lures, do what ever, it was like having a third person in the boat controlling everything for you. I'm very critical of crappy technology, but this is just amazing. I would say this is by far the best addition and purchase I have made regarding boating or fishing in 45 years.
