Exclamation Looking for a Humminbird LCR ...

Specifically this one, in good working order :

It's square & 4.35"W x 4.35"H x 0.8"D ... and is the only unit I know of that will fit in the "in dash" hole in my boat's dashboard.

I may only need the head unit, but if you have the head/pwr cord/transdx .. I will consider a reasonable $$ offer for the complete set.

No, Cuz .... way too big. This unit is tiny/compact and the console mounting hole will only accept a 4in x 4in square unit. It appears as though the console was designed for this particular unit, and the boat probably came with this unit as a package deal. Boat is a 1999 model, so I'm sure the unit has been discontinued for quite a while.

    But, thanks anyway !!

Thought about just widening the hole so you're not limited to this one finder?

Do you have any room on your dash to dremel out a larger hole for a different unit? Or fabricating an adapter to allow you to install an in-dash flasher unit? I think the larger unit route would look cleaner myself if you have the real estate on your console.

When removed how large is the hole ? Have e-z to make a base to mount in the hole and a plate to sit over the hole to add new base . thought ?

The dash mount hole isn't exactly in the "dash" ... but is on an extension of the dash, down near the bottom right area above the leg room cutout, between the dash & throttle. It's prefab & there's not any room for cutting the hole out larger or mounting a larger unit (in that spot).

If I fail to come up with another one of these units, I'll likely just find a plastic panel to cover the hole ... then consider buying a replacement unit to mount on the flat section of the gunwale.

Where I fish, I rarely need to look at a depthfinder when running ... and this unit was primarily used by the angler in the back seat, to determine water/cover depth. The tdx is a thru-hull mount, but depending on what unit I come up with, I may use a transom mount instead.

I knew it was a shot in the dark to find this unit ... but I figured if there was one out there, our members would know. I probably won't be using the boat for a few months, anyway, so I'm not in a rush to find its replacement.
