Rushcreek, just go ahead and get you an Allison XB with a 280 Offshore and chopped mid. Chuck a staniless steel work of art of about 32" on the back and then you can run circles around your BIL then up the lake and back to run more circles while he's still trying to get on plane. The Ally might might look a little funky with rod holders all over it, but hey everything's a trade off right?
Thanks for the boat porn. That's a fine Mosheen you got there.
Question. I can understand the 2 rows of pedestals on the front, but why does the second row have 2 bases so close together on the outside? Guessing just for different configuations depending on the number?

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
I must admit that the whole 2 row placement started as a minor design flaw. I had F & F put in the back row of 5 bases at the factory based upon measurements on my design. I gave them the wrong measurment and when I got to Arkansas to pick up the boat, the back row was much farther back than I really wanted it. I set five bases for optimum positioning. When fishing 3 people we use 1, 3, and 5. When fishing 2 people we use 2 and 4. This give loads of elbow room while still not having you sitting across the boat from each other when fishing 2 people.
When I got home and took the boat to have the motor installed, I had the motor dealer take the deck off and put more bracing in to put another row of seats closer to the bow. That is where I fish 80% of the time. You can fish 3 across the front, but there is not a massive amount of elbow room with three. So, if we fish three "Big Boys" we move back and use the second row. On the south end in the deep water it doesn't really matter. Up north in the shallow water I really prefer to sit perched on the bow.
We use the bow first seats when fishing big sandy long lining jigs.
