That is awesome. Put a new "used" starter motor in, and a new "used" Prime Starter. And she runs. Heck yeah. Tomorrow I'll run it with water for a while, but today, I just got'r going. yay me

I also think it was out of timing by a toof. It's weird with the timing belt. Right on TDC seems like it was too advanced. A hair off, and she ran. In any caser, it worked...yay

Don't do what I did. I focused on the motor so much, and ran it without water during compression tests and all, that the water pump impellor is now toast.

At least this was the original impellor that was there when I got the motor. I did inspect it, and it looked good at the time, so I left it. I do have a new one that obviously will be installed as soon as I get a new housing. The metal part the impellor spins in melted to the plastic housing. I did manage to get it apart, but it's all chewed up (with my hammer and chisel marks).
