Default Eff100 Crankshaft has shown itself...

And it don't look real good. The bearings are toast. I'm no expert, but the crankshaft itself might be serviceable. dono

The video should be available shortly:

I'll post a pic for those not on yoohoo directly

Does the "void if removed" thing being partially melted like I think it looks indicate an overheat?

I've never seen it but I build my own engines. Red Rhino in Mobile is a big rebuilder that turns out some good work. I have a account with them I will call tomorrow and see if I can get a answer as I will be interesting to know.

Can’t go any further, need some spline sockets to take off the rod bolts. More fun awaits. But I do feel accomplished today. Yay

12 point socket won't work? I have not split any 4-strokes but I use 12 points on the 2 strokes. That one Crank journal in the video looks toast. It would need quite a bit of polishing, doing it by hand enough to clean up would make it out of round.

Didn’t try 12 pt socket. I guess I’ll try that. But figured I’d need spline socket to torque them down again anyway. They’re cheap enough.

And don’t know much about polishing journals, just a bit I seen on youtoob. Thought you only need to polish enough to take down any high spots. Dono
