Looking at your pictures I think your receipt is correct. Top or Bottom Crank Bearing may have had a lack of oil causing it to seize, would explain why the previous owner thought it was Toast. If you shoot me the model I may have a complete digital manual for it in my stash. I can email or mail a flash drive if needed. I have a mountain of digital Yamaha manuals. You're going about it right to crack the case and check it completely before making it run.
Thanks Slab thanked you for this post

Gotta wait for my father in law to come down before I can crack the top off on my sprint bass boat to replace the stringers anyway. So project Yami f100 here we come.

Bud I'm into the Raz-a-Rita this evening, been peeling labels off wine bottles with the heat gun and making Mead. Will look it up on the shop computer in the morning if that's OK.

My truck makes this funny noise whenever I accelerate into a right hand curve. Can you fix it ?

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

So, do you make a checklist or flow chart of everything you do? I'd never be able to remember where I was or where I was going !
