    Default 4) transmission take down

I'm ready to take it apart. I have not ordered parts yet, I kinda want to see if I can tell something wrong with it before I order the transmission kit. We'll see, maybe I order one tonight anyway.

I'm watching this guy: AW4 TRANSMISSION TEARDOWN - JEEP CHEROKEE - YouTube

I've only rebuilt two transmissions in my lifetime, a 240 Volvo Transmission, and a BMW one. Both successfully. And I never had videos to watch to see someone else do it. No one showed me either. Just did it. Although with the BMW transmission, there were writeups on the Internet at that time.

I’m jealous of that workshop space! If you did the others without YouTube I would like to think this one would be easier. I’m usually wrong though….lol. Good luck.

A working transmission is mo gooder than a non-working transmission. Yeah there are performance parts that can be used, I'll see. tanks

So the shop is ready for the takedown. Gotta take the dogs to the vet (dogs need their shots) so not sure how far I'll get. But containers and boxes ready to be filled with parts and kept in order of removal. We'll see how it goes. Wish me luck.

Don't make fun of my mess. It's actually cleaner than it was before I brought the tranny in. Doh

Something to keep you busy during the hot months in Florida.
Have you considered just cleaning up the floor and patching as required, then Rhino lining it?
