Photo documentation is priceless at times. Especially when I might be a minute before you can put it back together

I do this even if I'm putting it back together immediately.

Fish cleaning table works great at catching the oil that seemingly comes and comes and comes.

Have you considered just cleaning up the floor and patching as required, then Rhino lining it?
Considering all possibilities still. We'll see. Gonna work on the trans for now. And the jeep is still outside with it interior stripped. Its supposed to rain this afternoon so I can see where all it might be leaking water in the inside. We'll see.

ha ha, you could patch the holes with those decals…. I use ziploc bags for parts in complicated tear downs…

I noticed all the awesome large stickers as well. Better than flex seal.

Ok, valve body is off, pump is off. Pretty much just spinning parts left to remove. Gonna order parts now that I don't see tons of metal inside. Looks pretty good so far. Gotta order parts and go to vet with dogs. Part two tranny disassembly coming soon. Name: PXL_20230628_153705635.jpg

Personally I think your tackling this project way to fast. Wife sees how fast you handle this and then see how long the "to-do" list grows.
