Hard to find one in my neck of the woods that hasn't been. Passed one yesterday that had the wood grain vinyl on the side. Had the fenders all cut out. Certainly a shame. It looked to be in great shape otherwise
Forgot to mention we had a '96 Cherokee 2.5 Standard trans. We ran it till we just got tired of it. Well over 200K miles. Good driver, they will turn in a circle tighter than anything I ever drove.

What a project. For the mileage, and maybe the photo is deceptive, the body looks to be pretty clean. Garage kept? Best of luck with it.

What I like about it most is it's unmolested. No one modified anything on it. The body looks good, paint should clean up real nice. It's been driven a total of 150 miles in the last eight years since it was last serviced. So I'm thinking maybe it used to be garage kept. It's got a wet spot in the passenger floor so it's also got water coming in it somehow. I'll have to dry it out and find where it's leaking cause the rainy season here is upon us already. I gotta bring the trailer back this morn. Hmm, maybe I create a story/blog forum for this project in the blog forum I just started.

The project is big enough that it would be fun to see what you do with it. Tough to avoid some corrosion down in FL.

I had a 1998 Cherokee Classic since it was new & it finally died last summer. Motor/transmission were still solid but salt took a heavy toll under it. Hated to get rid of it & would love to have another one.
