My trolling motor has its own batteries, my starting battery is its own and my electronics have their own. Nothing is cross wired at any point.
Also try without anything else on it the boat.

Tomorrow morning my plan is to temporarily bypass the battery switch and separate the ground that the batteries share. Also going to run a new fused power wire from the cranking battery to the helix. Also going to pull the transducer cable and lay it on top of the deck since it is close to the wire harness to the outboard. The fuzziness still showed even after key power was killed to the motor so not really sure if this is just Overkill.

May be a dumb question but have you tried in simulation mode? Or using an power supply away from your boat in sim mode?
I ended up sending the unit off to Hummingbird and they said it was a bad circuit board. However when in side scan, certain presses of the cursor causes distinct lines to show up on the screen so I'm not sure if that is a unit issue on going or if it's still interference. Another thing I noticed too, When I take the water column sensitivity down to around -2 to clear the screen I get bits and pieces of images where the bottom touches the water column. That looks like miniature sticks or weeds, it last for 50 to75 feet in distance and then goes away. I know this can't be anything on the bottom because I am running the center of the channel. Usually happens when I'm in water over 12ft. I'm just not certain if that is particulate not being filtered out or if it's just a unit problem

I have the same problems with a gen4 they just sent me. To some degree with my gen 3. I believe the new units or transducers or both have issues. Not happy about it at all as my gen 2s were better.
Did a new unit fix this? I have a gen2 and gen4 with this issue.

Honestly, no it didn't it's still doing the same thing. I have a helix 12 Gen 4 that does the exact same thing to. I just deal with it. I've even sent videos to Hummingbird for both units and they tell me that it's not a problem. Regarding the lines, it will always do this whenever you would Press buttons so has to do with something electrically that's interfering with the screen. And I'm guessing that the newer units are just more sensitive to debris in the water such as pollen so I find myself running them at 455 way more than I think I should especially paying the extra money for a mega unit. [Thanks. Would like to discuss if you still have my number.humminbird is just running me in circles as well. Not sure I'll be able to continue to support these units if there going down hill. I still want to hook the older style transducer to one if I can find one.
Thanks. QUOTE=huntersdad;4241551]Honestly, no it didn't it's still doing the same thing. I have a helix 12 Gen 4 that does the exact same thing to. I just deal with it.
