Can't say that I have. Sounds like a heck of a show
Have any of you seen Lake Sturgeon jumping straight up and clearing the water with their tail and tipping to their side back in to the water? Normally I see one or two a year, but this weekend at our lake cabin it was Sturgeon jumping mania. I seen 11 total and heard countless splashes that I just missed.I even found a couple of pods of them on SI and spot locked close to them....Pretty cool when a few of them jumped only 15-20 feet away.

Sounds like a good show. Bet one of your local biologists have an answer to this. To me it's like they are trying to break their egg sacks open to spawn, but sure seems to late in the season for that.
Have never seen a sturgen jump but have noticed that a lot of spoonbill catfish going airborne lately. Oh and lets not forget them big Asian carp.
