You may have disabled pinging, or turned sonar off, from the power menu. While on a map, press power button once. A short menu will come up and you can turn sonar back on.
Last resort - restore defaults from the main menu.
Turned the unit on this morning and as it was coming up I briefly say a 2D screen loading when I hit the power button to dim the screen. As I was doing this I hit something else and now all I have is maps....no 2-D, down scan, or side imaging. Does anybody know what I need to do to get my unit back to working? I have the Helix 9. Thanks.

I saw were you could turn sonar off and on. It's turned on. I'll have to check the pinging. Any idea where it might be located?!?

Sonar on is pinging.
Try to turn on a sonar view by pressing and holding the view button to get the view menu, then select a sonar view. Check the main menu view tab to see if somehow those views got turned off. Try restore defaults on main menu system tab. That usually fixes everything.

I went out to the boat barn tonight and tried restoring defaults. Naturally I didnt have any satellites so I dont know if it worked but it did go from screen to screen afterwards, just was blank pages though (except for the lines that are on different pages). I'll pull boat out tomorrow to see if it has worked. MRI tomorrow morning then I'll work with the 'bird. Thanks.
