High-Wide (HW), Dual Spectrum CHIRP transducer beam
Does anyone know the difference/advantages between these 2 Helix models:
Helix 12 HW chirp mega si g2n
Helix 12 chirp mega si g2n
These are separate models listed by HB.
High-Wide (HW), Dual Spectrum CHIRP transducer beam
Is this better?

The 2d will be allot better if you like using 2d.
Then it is worth the upgrade. I was able to add just the high wide transducer to my G2N unit via a y cable. Big difference in the image quality.
HELIX HW CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N is a promo special unit made exclusively for some large box stores ...
The unit above is basically the HELIX CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N with a special xducer (and different software) that has the Dual Spectrum low Q 2d piezo found in the G3N models ...

Thanks to all for the good info. I bought one of these knowing the HW meant high and wide but still not sure what that meant and whether the unit was up to or better than the original g2n. As for promotional pricing it's selling brand new for $1499 which is $1000 less than the original g2 and g3.

Really, really nice unit for that price IMO. Anymore left? LOL!
I see that Bass Pro has the same unit in the 10" size for $ 1,000 right now as well. In store only.
Actually Cabelas has 10” SI for $999 starting today.
