Its a beginners model but the write-ups on it is pretty good. Its going to to have very low resolution but the bottom line is you won't know for sure until you try it.
Was in the fishing "storage area" in my basement today. I came across a Helix 5 box. I no longer have the boat that was installed on. When I picked up the box it felt heavy enough to have something in it. It was a Lowrance X-4 Pro. I don't remember ever having this but it looks to be a never used piece of electronics. I have never used one of these. Is it worth installing to find brush and shad or not?

I installed one but it had no adjustment for screen darkness . Took it off even though it worked fine . Old eyes was the problem not unit . lol

My 60 year old eyes might be in trouble with it. I also found a Hummingbird Flasher, Hummingbird 4-ID hiding in the dust balls. I think that the X4 Pro might have been a factory install on one of the boats and I swapped it out without ever using it. Like Barnacle Bill said...never know until you try. Heck I've tried things my parents would whoop me for if they knew it so what can this hurt
I believe that is what is 8n the console of my boat. Before the screen faded it did a good job of telling bottom depth
