Thread: HDS7 no side scan

I moved my HDS7 Touchscreen to a new boat and I can't get the sidescan to work. I have the 83/200 455/800 transducer and a separate LSS 2 transducer mounted on opposite sides of the transom.
I spent an hour on phone with Lowrance tech support to no avail.
When I go through the installation screen to select a transducer the LSS2 does not show up as an option. Lowrance says the unit is not recognizing the side scan being connected. What puzzles me is it list about 20 other transducers including the regular 83/200 455/800 that is for the 2D/DI function. So if the unit has to recognize that transducer where did all the other types it list come from? I believe the unit comes with preloaded selections.
The tech guy was new and had to put me on hold numerous times to get helo, but he tried.
This unit worked fine on the other boat with both transducers so I feel like we are missing something here.
We went through unplugging and replugging and restore defaults, etc. but nothing worked.
Any ideas fellows??

PS: this is Generation 2 unit.
