Default Importing Lat and Long for waypoints

I am sure there is an easy way to do this but I have poured over the manual and cannot seem to nail the procedure. A very dear friend gave me the coordinates for a brush pile that always produces fish. How do I take the coordinates he gave me and import them into my Helix 10? Thanks in advance, as always.

Have to look at the unit as I do it but on birds you can add it under the waypoint tab. If none follow up on it when I get around boat today I’ll post you the process. There are three different formats for gps coordinates. Make sure his format matches your or it will not match. There is a tab in the menus to change gps formats.

Go to nav tab. Go to waypoints,Route, tracks. Go to options, go to new, go to new waypoint. Add the waypoint coordinates and information. Hit save.

If you you have to change gps format. Go to setup. Go to position format. Select option. You will have three choices. Make selection

It is indeed the same for numbered series and HELIX series ...

Oh my goodness. So simple once you follow your excellent instructions and do a couple. Another life long lesson because of the unselfish attitude of you great fishermen. Never have I been in a group that shares like this unless it was a combat trained team or gaggle of aviators (smile). Thank you.
