View will be the way your trolling motor is going in the direction it turns. Same for side scan. Rickie also makes a Da Ducer that rotates, say if you wanted your side scan to scan out the front/back of the boat vs out the sides.

cevans gave you a solution many use. I mounted mine on the trolling motor. When running SI, I keep turning to a minimum
because of the issue you mentioned.

Interesting. Will check my 73sv manual to see if there is anything comparable for echomaps.

    Thanks.

Rickie’s da ducer will take the punishment you give it. It is so well made. I have driven mine into stumps and submerged standing timber occasionally and through matted grass just like you abuse a trolling motor. And have experienced it not being pulled up when BillBob moves his boat from waypoint to waypoint by using his big motor to propel his boat about 5-10 mph by leaving his down. I have a skinny water 1648 G3 jon that mine is on and sometimes fish in a lot of standing flooded timber areas of a couple of lakes I fish in Indiana so it does get abused. Check it out.

Size: 90.6 KB I use both di and si on the bow. Currently have a Helix 9 mega si. I use the ss ducer of Rickie's, 3/4 steel electrical conduit. With a GPS on top, it all works great. As I tight line its great to see my jigs show up on the graph.

I use SI at the bow on my trolling motor, but I spider rig drifting with the wind 99% of the time, so the trolling motor isn’t moving much at all.
