The above is down and side view of an old bridge? Sorry about the turbulence on SI shot, I'd already driven over once or twice, before I took the screen shot.

I drove by alot trees, showed little to nothing on them. What changes would you recommend? Contrast? Color? Brightness, etc.
Keep in mind, I only have about 7 hours on these things. Have made very few changes so far.

That top pic....nice images for 45fow. I like how the baitballs stand out brighter. Not sure about it being a bridge, but looks like it.

That black line is a brief interference coming from somewhere. Does it do that very often? Is it running off its own battery, or tied to the motor(s)?

The blue trees....do you remember your boat speed? And in that fow i'd switch to 800khz

For the black line, it does not happen often, I only saw it a couple of times. The power is coming from fuse block under the dash. I might move it to the starting battery.
The speed for the blue tree pic would have been a max of 3mph, I was using quickdraw then also.
I see that fish now, maybe another one above it? On the 9' line?
    Thanks!

Now I don't have your brand of sonar but I have found that the worst thing you can do is be scared of changing settings. Most if not all sonars have a factory default that will set everything back where you where when it was first bought and your waypoints won't be lost. Now boat speed set to match sonar speed. Set sensitivity up till the picture gets too bright then down till you start to lose good picture then set it about middle ways to best setting. Same way with contrast as sensitivity. Try different colors as for bright days and dim days I myself like blue mostly. Start out with a 30'-40' range to see best sonar pictures then when things start to come together go to a longer range. Hope this is will be a little help to you.
Be safe and good luck fishing

What they said. Go to a familiar place of known cover and adjust ONE thing at a time (brightness, gain) until you optimize the display. I say that so you don't do too much and get frustrated in the beginning. Follow scrat's advice. Good to see your Garmin cv ducer returning bait balls and fish in the 30-45' ranges. You're not far from maxing it. Every day, every lake, every season and every bottom can and often will make a diff. Learn what and how to tweak. And just accept that you may need to do it daily, or within the day. None of them are 'set and forget'. I like lighter colors for clear days and more subtle ones for darker days, but find what suits you. Good luck

Trying this for first time on a tablet, so hope it works

the left most circle looks to me like a nice fish casting a dark shadow....it's close to bottom, slightly off to right of under the boat. There is possibly another fish in the limbs that I didn't highlight almost in that same circle.

The middle and right circles look like possibly fish shadows along that limb, shallower.

Someone feel free to chime and say I'm full of it, though ;-)

Wow. Thank you for taking the time to do that!
So the two to the right, their on the bottom also? Would their be more fish, to the lower right of the right most circle? On the bottom also?
