898 and 1199 ethernet issues

Its been a while since I have messed with much of this stuff but having some problems. I know on my older units the software versions had to be the same but the 1199 has a version 7.79 available and the 898 has version 7.67 available. If I do the updates will these 2 units link up or do I need to get an older version for the 1199.

As long as both are above 6.64 you shouldn't have any problems .... that was the "line in the sand" software level for Ethernet networking.
