    I run two external GPS antennas, one mounted at the transom just about on top of the transducer. One up front on a pole rig that I bought and modified from Podunk I think it was. So if your console is say eight feet front of the ducer you will need to consider that space. "The Professor" I think did some outstanding DVDS on GPS and sonar. He is a Lowrance guy but still works on HB. My front GPS is the high speed antenna. I also run course up when looking for my waypoints.

    I would like to see your custom modification of my da ducer apparatus® ...

    It might spark other ideas in my head ...

    What you don't see is that the pole goes back five feet. I slide it out in the water then deploy the T/M. When going down the water or the road the strap holds it firmly to my T/M.
