    Default 998 troubleshooting

My problems started when shutting down my unit. It would start shut down mode 2 and 1 second shutdown and pop back to the screen where i was. It would take several tries to get it down. Now it has moved to start up. It will shut down (screen going back)before it gets up. It may take several ties to come up. when it does come up it will shut itself down after a few minutes
My unit is about 2 years old and I have updated it once. When it is up it functions correctly. Any suggestions?
    thanks

First thing I would check is all your wiring connections. Glass tube fuses get corroded, is it wired direct to battery or is it wired to distribution center.?

Thanks, I checked the fuse and found the fuse holder was in bad shape. Will need a new fuse holder but after I got it to make connection the unit came right up. I should be old enough (70) to check the simple things first.

Go to auto parts store and get one of those rubber fuse holders with the cap that takes a spade fuse. Splice it in and that will eliminate fuse issue's.
