    Default Networked HBird units?

I have a HBird 899 Si at my console with Terrova trolling motor and iPilot link. I'd like to add another bow mount HBird (either 859 or Helix 9) and network all three devices.

My question. If I do this and share waypoints will I be able to see waypoints And images stored on console unit? The picture part is my main question because if I find fish/structure on console unit I want to be able to see picture on bow unit so I know what I was marking.

That would be handy when spider rigging and other presentations.

The 859 or HELIX 9 will share Waypoints, Sonar, and Accessories with your 899 ...

You would select which xducer to see in the Networking tab (which will be available when you Ethernet the units together) ..

Waypoints reside in the unit memory that marked the Waypoint ... but can be "displayed" by the other unit thru Ethernet ...

You will need the AS ETH 5PXG switch to connect 2 units and the ipilot (which makes 3 devices) ..

The AS ETH 5PXG requires 12v power ... so plan its installation place ...

You will also need Ethernet cables long enough from each unit to the AS ETH 5PXG ...(and one Ethernet cable from the ipilot to the AS ETH 5PXG - if you don't have one already for the ipilot) ...
    http://www.humminbird.com/Freshwater...s/?facets=7319,

You will also need an Ethernet adapter cable for each unit ... (2 total) ...(you may already have 1 if your 899 is Ethernet connected to the ipilot) ...

Screenshots can only be viewed on the unit that contains the SD Card with screenshots on it ...

You can see the Waypoint from the other unit (displayed green) ... but not the thumbnail screenshot from the other unit ...

Gotten pretty comfortable after 2 yrs of playing around with the 899 Si and most of the time now I drive over spots looking for fish, structure, etc using side imaging and I tend to create several waypoints. Then if I'm spider rigging I'll move to the front of the boat and if I created 5 new waypoints it would be nice to see the screenshots upfront from the waypoints I just created at console unit so I know exactly what I was marking with each waypoint.

It's certainly not a deal breaker and once I find a good price on a front unit will probably go ahead and pull trigger as there are still tons of benefit to networked units.

Switch the SD Card with the screenshots into the other unit ...

You still won't be able to see the thumbnail snapshot on the Chart at The Waypoint ... but you will have the screenshots available in the "Snapshot and Recording" view ...

It might be challenging to know which screenshot went with which Waypoint unless you make the coordinates one of the data boxes and then compare to the coordinates of the Waypoint on the Chart view Under the Info button ...
