    Default Help for older eyes

At 55 my eyes, even with bifocals, have a problem threading 4-10 pound line through hook eyes. The other day while picking up dental floss, a light bulb came on when I saw dental threaders. This is a looped piece of nylon that looks like 20 lb mono with the loop around 6lb. Works very similar to a needle threader in sewing. They come in packs of 25 and the drug store I was in had a 2fer sale. Took a few with me to Dougles Lake my last night fishing trip, and did they make the difference. My favorite knot is a palomar, so I needed to go through the eye twice. With the dental threader, one time with the loop and I was done. Yesterday, with winter coming on, I sat down to make bobber stops, the threader made it super simple making a nail knot with the nailknot tool.

    Hope this help others.

Humm. Sounds like something I need to try.
