kosmo, are you talking about the chart speed in 2D when running 2D/360 on an old core 999. I don't know if Helix can run DI/360 or not without having dedicated DI, I know my 999 can't. I do run 2D/360 on my 999 and it seems to work ok. But I am only moving at 0 to .3mph. went in that view, the 2D chart speed is locked at refresh rate I assume. When I stop 360 the 2D chart speed returns to setpoint.

With 360 on the bow you learn pretty quick when you are over your target if you have contour "off"

Kosmo, are you suggesting that I consider going with an Onix? Thought I read that the Helix has a better picture.

My 998's 2d scroll speed would slow and looked compressed, while the 360 was running.also there wasn't and option for the di.I've asked others over at BBC boards about this slow down,on there helix.only one person posted that there was this slow down on his helix.I do no that going from the 998 to onix.2d scroll speed is much better, while running 2d/360.this is a big issue for me.unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much talk about this subject.

No.I'm saying,if your planning on using 2d/360 screen split screen, you might want to see the unit model ,that your going to buy, running the2d/360 to see if that would be acceptable for you. (Onix handles this very well.Helix,I'm not so sure)

Kosmo, If I remember correctly the Helix was advertised as having a 25% faster processor. So maybe that has helped the 2D/360 split problem some on the Helix.
