    Default Thermocline

Anyone have a pic of thermocline on a HB unit? Also what do my settings need to be to see it?

2D sonar with the sensitivity turned up slightly higher than normal. Never saw one on anything but 2D.

I have seen very few on KY Lake but used it to my advantage last summer when there was a hard thermocline at 12-14 feet deep in some major creeks. I wore the crappie out pulling cranks that would dive no more than 10 feet.

    Thanks!

So it looks like surface clutter somewhere in the column other that the surface. Fish right above that in the summer time.

Once you get to know your lake, the thermocline usually sets up at about the depth every year

My catch on cranks on KY and Barkley is usually 90% whites. I may have had a couple of blacks in those catches but off-shore it is mostly whites.
