    Default No gps on my 1197


    I have an 1197 I just remounted on a different boat and now I have no gps showing on the locator it's like it never existed. I have tried everything it's like its invisuable what should i try to get it to work everything else is good

    My 998 had an external GPS puck/antenna. Does yours have that too and did you switch that over too?

    I put a new one on just have to figure how to test the antenna to figure out if it's the unit or the antenna

    What antenna are you trying to use? I don't believe the newer antennas work with older unit models ending in 7. I had a 797 and had a devil of a time finding a compatible antenna. Humminbird no longer sells the antennas that work with them. You will have to try and find a used one.

    The AS GRP antenna requires at least 6.300 ...

    The AS GPS HS antenna requires at least 6.570 ...
