Looks good! Nice job!
Well after seeing a picture on Google yesterday of a transducer shield. I decided to make me one today. I used 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe and a 4" PVC cap on the end and then painted it silver. I think it will help keep things from bumping into it especially around the boat dock and the Schedule 40 PVC is pretty thick 1/4" and strong. It sets a little higher than I would like but that transducer is pretty big itself. Well some protection is better than no protection and this didn't cost much. Here is the pictures I took after I got it done.

I went ahead and made one for the other small transducer on the other side of my boat. I have not tried it out as to yet to see if the small 2d transducer will be in the way of the side imaging transducer. If when I do try it out if it gives me much trouble I can always remove anyway. This smaller transducer shield was easier to make than the other one as I used 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe and 1" 90° angles instead of the 4" PVC end cap although I think it is much stronger. I painted it also silver to match the boat somewhat. Here is some pictures you all may want to try this yourself it just may save a transducer or two who knows. Hope everyone has a good crappie fishing spring this year.

Looks good! Is the spacer (attached to transom) made from aluminum?

Yes and no, it is Alucobond it is aluminum with a polyethylene core. It is about 1/4" thick so on one side that already had old transducer holes in the boat I used it so I would not have to make additional holes in my transom. On the other side I used a longer piece so I could use the holes and bolts that were already there so I didn't have to put any holes in the boat on that side. This worked good for me so far it is pretty tuff stuff . Here is a picture of some.
