I don't have 360 ... But I do notice the Chart speed increases when 200kHz only is selected in the "Beam Frequency" menu ...

I assume it's because the 83kHz is no longer in the ping sequence ...

Sometimes I set the Beam Frequency to 200kHz and then decrease the SI Chart speed 1 or 2 clicks below boat speed ...or until I see the individual pixels not "stretching" (which is basically the unit copying and repainting the same pixel data repeatedly) ...

I do not know yet if this the case with the 2d/360 view ... I'm still looking for similar discussions on the other forums ...

Rickie, if the slow chart speed (2D) is needed as a result of the anchored to very slow speed the 360 was designed for to stop the pixels stretching, then I understand why they might have installed code to slow the chart speed down. I tried different sweep speeds on the 360 but that did not change chart speed, that I could tell. You can go to 10 chart speed and it does change the 2D chart speed a little in the 2D/360 view.

I normally like the 200kHz in 2D. I want a small cone angle to be more accurate concerning when the cover or structure start showing on the right side of the 2D screen the transducer is over it. Even with .35 X DOW with the 200kHz, 40 feet water depth the bottom coverage is 14ft diameter circle. If fish are holding tight to a 2 ft. diameter stump I still will have to work to put a jig on their nose. With 83/200kHz the coverage is 1.0 X DOW that will be a 40ft diameter circle.

Thanks you for any info you can find. Rickie
