    Is there a shoot thru xducer connected to the unit with the AS SIDB Y cable ...??

    No Sir. Just pwr cable, gps puck, and hdsi transducer cable. Same on the other boat the Head unit was tested

    You mentioned testing the 997 head unit on 2 different boats ...

    Have you tested another head unit on the 997's xducer ...??

    Yes sir we have. We put a HB 999 on the 997 boat set up and it worked perfect. I'm gonna try factory default 1 more time. Take out Map card an reload version 6.3 which its running on now I believe. My buddy that bought it talked to HB an I thought he said they did a re- boot. Is that possible and if so how can I do it again? I know on my old Lowrance 334 you could do a soft or hard re-boot. Press pwr and 2 other buttons at the same time type deal.

    HB units only have the Restore Defaults under the setup tab ...

    HB has a sequence they call "Flashing the operation system" ... But I don't think users have privy to that scenario ...

    Reverting to older software is about the only thing left to try that I can think of ...
