The clarity on the 360 seems to be much better with an ONIX. I currently have a 1198 on bow and looking to add a 360 but not sure I can get the clarity like the ONIX and sure won't take that $$ plunge just to have a 360...LOL Hoping that maybe the new Helix units will offer a cheaper alternative and still provide some better clarity. I've also read some other opinions that the 360 is probably only good in about 15' or less depth. Just wondering if you've had any results in say 20-40 depth?

I used the 360 with an 998 and really I can say,for sure that the onix is giving me a better picture, just a bigger picture.neither gives a real clear picture, but I really like using the 360,it's on and running almost all the time that I'm out fishing.makes returning to way points so much easier. No more, running over the top of the way points or having to look for them.(I don't understand why humminbird doesn't market the 360 for relocating way points and or trolling,to keep your bait just were u want.close to the brush, not in it.
Ive used the 360 in water over 30ft.with no problem.I think most people, just use it in really shallow water and u just don't hear about it being used deeper.

Thanks Kosmo. I think with all the images I've seen they seem to be a little better with the ONIX and some have even said it's better on the actual unit than the screenshot. I'm just waiting to see what happens in the Helix line up and hoping to pair up a 360 with a 12" model.
