Also, I have 2 side image transducers (dedicated left and right) and the 2D transducer "y" with appropriate cables

I guess I am thinking the 2D still looks a bit "grainy" or something.

2 ideas can make your fish echoes a little more "prominent" ...

Turn on the wider 83kHz beam so the target gets "pinged" more repetitive times ...

And/or ...

Increase the 2d Chart Speed to "stretch" the displayed echoes out more across the screen scroll ...

There is good detail in your SI image ... It just needs a little brightness by increasing the SI Sensitivity some ...

I keep the SI Enhance menu open anytime I'm viewing SI ...

This gives me instant access to the SI Sensitivity setting to brighten/darken the SI image ...

(Remember to slow the Chart Speed back down to equal boat speed when not viewing the 2d idea from above) ...

Your transducer is not level. Only getting half an arc.

I prefer 83 as well.

Thanks guys I will try your suggestions. I do know I need to lower my 2D a bit because I loose depth at around 15mph. I had somebody drive while I looked at it on plane and it was partially out of the water on one side. Again, I appreciate the help.

Interesting posts and pictures. I don't use 2d jigging mode what is the advantage of having it on?
