    Default linking two humminbirds

I have a 998c si unit on the bow and just bought an 859 hd di unit. Can this units be linked together? I'm just wanting to mark waypoint on the console and share them with the bow unit.

Yes ..... You will just need an Ethernet cable and an Ethernet adapter cable for the 859......The Ethernet cable connects directly to the 998.....You will probably want to have the latest software on both units since the 998 could have an older rev and Humminbird changed the Ethernet protocol a little with the 9 series and newer software releases for the 8 series.

You can download the Ethernet networking manual here http://www.humminbird.com/Search/?q=Ethernet%20manual Should find most of the info you need in there.....
