Question for Rickie or Humminbird Greg
When hooking up an AS GR50 gps puck to a 899 do you have to tell it or does it see it automatically. If you have to tell it , which menu is it in.

... and it should choose it automatically as well. There is a menu (GPS Receiver Override) that will allow you to manually choose which GPS Receiver the unit will use (external or internal) but when set to "Auto", which is the default setting, it will choose the external GPS Receiver.
