I got it installed today. Think its gonna work out nice. One question I noticed a rapid clicking noise coming from the transducer while powered on is this normal?

Out of the water ... The unit is varying the power output to the xducer looking for bottom ...

Thanks guys I got a piranha max on front and it doesn't do it.... so I had no clue. These high tech fish finders are new to me. Ive watched all the vids on youtube, and played with all the settings think i got a pretty good idea of whats going onscreen. Can't wait to hit the water and see what she'll do!

i just purchased the same one. i have only had it on the water 3 times so far really just learning how to use it and understanding side imaging. im getting the hang of it but i still have a lot to learn. Just like today i located some fish with it, just couldnt find any willing to bite.

I'm really having trouble seeing fish on it. I can see all kind of logs and structure pretty good. I fished 5 ft of water today and slayed em, but I never seen a fish on side imaging. Any suggestions? Zoomed into 38 ft showing left side only.

Post some SI images ...

It could be the fish echoes are there ...

We will see if we can pick them out ...
