I think this test is just a natural extension of what Kosmo has been doing with the ping pong balls. Heck he can see 4 balls AND the knots!! I just don't know if sonar can see the air inside a piece of PVC the way it can a PP ball. Maybe if PVC won't show up, I'll glue a tennis ball onto my cover and try that?

GREAT JUSTIN, I AM GOING TO GUESS,THOSE 5 BALL LOOK IS THE 5 HIGHEST PVC PIPES AND ARE LESS DIRECT ANGLE BACK TO DUCER AND SO DID NOT SHOW UP EXCEPT THE TOP MAKING THEM LOOK LIKE BALLS,WHEREAS THE OTHERS RETURN A BETTER SINGAL AND IS PICK UP BETTER? SURE ARE IN A GOOD SPOT,TOO MANY PEOPLE STILL THINK PVC WILL NOT SHOW UP,WE ARE PROVING THEM WRONG,THANKS

genec, what you are referring to are the ends of the pipe. look closely at the bottom image, you'll see every piece of white pipe has a coupling in the center, two pieces in each branch. Now look at the ds images, you can see almost every coupling (more dense) in the pipe. I don't think it's to big of a stretch to say that they are showing up in the 2d on the second image. Yes PVC will show up on sonar.

JUSTIN,ON THIS ONE, I MUST DISAGREE AND SAY AGAIN THAT THE ROUND LOOKING BALLS AT TOP AND IN MIDDLE IS END OF PIPES,ONE SET IS THE HIGEST SET AND THE NEXT SET IS SLANTED SET AND SO IS NOT AS HIGH BUT IT IS THE END OF PIPES AND IS AIM AT DUCER, MAY BE WRONG BUT I SURE DON'T THINK SO,PLEASE CORECT ME IF I AM WRONG,AFTER ALL WIFE DO IT ALL THE TIME,LOL

I have many images of these, believe me you are seeing the ends of the center pieces and the couplings. I have one bed that has one center limb made of three sections of pipe instead of two so it's taller than the other four. I can clearly see the extra pipe and extra coupling.

The bed is not sitting straight up, it's rotated to the right or away from the side your looking at. The left end is sitting on a stump. Looking from the end it should look like similar to this \|/.

Thanks guys. I use MS Paint to mark up images. When you open the folder your images are in right click on the image you want, a menu will open, click "open with", a sub menu will open then click "Paint", then you can do all kinds of stuff to them. When you get it the way you want be sure to save it or all will be lost when you close the program.

Genec that image was taken shortly after dropping the bed so no fish in it but there are fish on the left above "trunk". I was going to draw a line to the base but used bottom instead and didn't want to start over so I just left it.

If you look at the 2d you can definitely see the tops of the center pieces and I don't think it's a stretch to say you can see two rows of couplings above the 12.4 ft line.

Justin, how do you keep the original snapshot & the Paint snapshot? I have been playing around with paint, but when I save the Paint snapshot my original snapshot is gone.
