    I am looking at adding a 360. I have a terrova for the guys that have them is it best on the bow with podunks adapter or on the stern and the reasons why?

    I like my transom mount. It's outa the way. I had a riptide and the bow mount would not work with it. I mounted to jack plate . It's really preference. I fish mostly from center of boat and my 1198 is on the console so I like my install.

    I think either would work well, depending on your needs.look at this picture, that coming from a transom mount 360, on a 21ft. boat.in the circled area, you can see my trolling motor return.you can also see the structure/fish as they have just pasted the trolling motor.if the 360 were mounted on the bow, everything would be about 21ft. on back in that image.once the 360 is getting over the top of something, it will start duplicating.front to back/side to side kind of like si, when an object is directly below the transducer....
