All SI units with newer software than 6.570 ...

Remember, the pixelation issue can be minimized by not using the 83kHz ...

And the pixelation issue can be eliminated by setting the "Transducer Select" menu to "Dual Beam"...

Not sure but thought there was a recommendation of also using a chart speed of 5 or less to minimize the pixelation. That would be in lieu of changing the Transducer Select to Dual Beam. But many like to run chart speed at max when vertically fishing to be able to get the faster data. The 200/83khz and FishID will still work if you can live with the pixelation issue. As mentioned changing the Transducer Select to "Dual Beam" seems to be the final HB solution to the problem for the older core units.

The cloud is most likely prop wash from either you passing thru your own path or the prop wash from another boat ...

Bubbles reflect sonar ... Prop wash is bubbles ...

Your images look great now ...

(You have a blockage of some sort just to the left of the centerline ... Most likely your lower unit ... But I wouldn't worry about it ...because it's unlikely there will be any fish or other "good" echoes that it covers up that close to the xducer anyway)...

Must be cause I kept turning around and checking that area but I didn't think the bubbles would stay that long. . How about the bamboo. Does it always show like that when it's new

I'm no expert, but that doesn't look like bamboo to me. How about some weeds? Could that be what that is? When you get a good pic with DI, you will be able to pick out each individual branch on a tree, or each bamboo cane in a bunch.

What you think is bamboo seems to be an optical illusion of the same prop wash you are seeing in the SI image posted just above the DI image ...

The HB SI units derive the DI image from the data received by the SI piezoes ...

And because sonar echos are plotted as "distance away from the xducer" ... The prop wash "distance away from the xducer" is painted in the SI image as "x feet left of the centerline"...whereas that same rendering into the DI image is painted as "x feet below the top of the display ...

Take the left SI pane in the SI image and rotate it 90° counterclockwise ... And you will get the DI image that looks like the bamboo DI image ...

If you indeed dropped bamboo in that area ... I don't think it is showing in any of those images ...
(Except the image from the 570 DI)...
