The LSS2 needs to be closest to the centerline BUT it's a big honker, so tape it onto the hull or have someone hold it in place and see if the OB will have full movement. One option for the LSS2 is to mount it to the OB/jack plate if possible, this will raise it up a bit for more protection from stumps and such, but be in the water at slow speeds. You also need to make sure neither of the 'ducers will get banged up when loading the boat up on the trailer as well.
Google your boat or LSS2 installs for images of how people have installed theirs and you might get some more ideas. GL
