1. If I remember right it's marked "structure" for the SS td.
2. From what I've read it won't work the way you want to use it. I think you will have to select either the HDI or the LSS transducer. Do a search on BBC.
I swapped out an Elite 7 for an HDS 7 touch, retaining the transducer that was on the Elite 7. I now have 2D and DI using this transducer. I understand I have to have and LSS2 in order to do SI.
Two questions:
1. There is a 2nd transducer connection on the back of the HDS 7. Is that specifically for the LSS2? It is configured differently than the other connection where the current transducer is connected.
2. When I got the HDS7 I had to go in the system settings and select the ELite 7 transducer before the DI would work. Apparently the factory setting on the HDS 7 is different than the Elite 7. So....do I have to go in and select the LSS2 transducer in the menu for the SI to work and does this disable the setting I have for the DI and 2D.
What I am hoping is they are separate and I can simply switch between the 3 views once I have the LSS2 installed.
Thanks for your input.

I believe the LSS2 will do DI and SI. The Elite 7 I would have to use for 2D. I am just not sure about using all 3 at the same time. I still like 2D in some instances.

What transducer did you have on the Elite 7?
You are correct, the LSS-2 transducer will do both down and side scan, the HDI transducer will do down scan and 2d. It's my understanding that for this to work, HDI 2d and LSS-2 for side and down scan is all in transducer selection in the set up menu. Try generic 83/200 in the setup and see if it all works.
Thanks for all the good info. I made a note of the setting to use once I get the LSS2 installed. I am going to get a mounting board to put on the transom, getting more holes than I would like with all these transducers.
I also got similar info from the BBC website someone suggested I check. I actually am a member of that board too, but I only have about a dozen posts.
