Default 360 help in heavy vegetation?

I finally finished installing the 1199 and the 360 yesterday morning and tested it out at the closest water hole which is loaded with cypress trees, Lilly pads and some kind of under water grass ive always heard called duck weed.
after 7 hours and a lot of button pushing I found two bream beds. This lakes' average depth is 4-5 ft and its a mud bottom.
Any tricks for finding bream beds in this kind of water? Or is the SI/360 useless unless your in cleaner water?
i'll try to take a few snapshots once I get an SD card.

I'll try to get a sd card next week and go back out and get some snap shots. I'm heading down to reelfoot Monday, may swing by Wally World and pick up one.

Hello Danny, I am trying to finish up my 360 transom install and need some info. I am going to connect 360 through a 3 post battery switch. The post are labeled, power, acc, ground. Am I right when I connect post labeled acc back to 360 via red wire, then post marked ground back to 360 via black wire, then the post marked power to battery via a wire with a 8 amp fuse.. At the end of this there is the unshielded 30 strand wire in the 360 power cable that I don't know what to do with. Any info you can hit me with is greatly appreciated.....JDL

Mine only had a power cable and Ethernet cable. I'm lost when you say 30 strand wire

Did you actually find an 8 amp fuse? I looked every where with no luck, local marine shop told me they use 5-10 amp when they install. So I went with 7.5

No luck on any snap shots kosmo, the 360 or SI don't work very well in heavy vegetation. It was awesome on reel foot though!! I could see all twelve baits hanging out the front of the boat. I was even able to steer baits straight into a school of crappie. They were impossible to keep up with though, only found the one school. Found plenty of gar too

Danny, I have a TM 360 and been playing with it a lot. Not having as much luck as I would like. What color, speed 360, gps speed did you have the best luck with? I am having problems seeing laydowns, trees, I can see shadow but it's not really showing me the wood. rdjj

I don't have a 360....yet...but I would think it is better used to position on structure rather than be used as a search tool. I would think that standard SI would be better as a search tool.

I don't remember the name of speed setting for your unit, my onix are 1 2 3 4 5. I run my 360 on 3 almost all the time
