Ricky when I am selecting 455 it is listed as beam select. Then below that is the imaging frequency option.

I tried it again today on the water and I got a very weak return on bottom. Had to crank the sensitivity way up to get that

I agree with kosmo...try restore defaults....

If that doesn't change the issue....

Look under the Sonar tab for a setting called "Digital Depth Source"...change that setting from what it is and try again....

If it still doesn't change the issue...try swapping the xducers and test....

So are you getting a good bottom return (in both of the split panes)...as long as the "Beam Select" menu is set to 200kHz..??

No even when set to 200 that's all I'm getting. 455 is screwy no matter what settings I use

Ok...try swapping the xducers and test....

It's really weird that both units are acting the same...

Done it. Identical units front and back. Both act the same. The bow setup has a newer ducer due to me pinching the cable. You actually have the original. What's worse is I don't know how long its been like this. I just started trying to play with different freq in 2d. I got these units early last summer. I've got a buddy with a 597 on the bow. Might try his unit on my ducers and vice versa to see what happens.
