    Default Sonar quiz #10

So we learned the last 2 data boxes are for location (lat, lon) of the "Active Cursor Postion"...in relation to where the boat is currently....

List some uses for the information given in the 1st two data boxes when the cursor is activated during your normal fishing day...?? (Not specifically for this image but just anytime during your fishing day)...

    No trick question....

Sonar quiz #10 is to allow several (hopefully)...share their experiences of how those first 2 data boxes may help them in their fishing day...

Your idea to activate the cursor at the top of brush to give you an idea how deep to run your baits...is a perfect example of how that data can help you...

I'm hoping to actually learn some new ways to use that data myself...from you guys...

One idea that comes to mind ...is that the "Active Cursor" depth data can be used to investigate the depth if a thermocline...

There are bound to be more ways to use this "Active Cursor" data...

    Share your ideas guys...

I guess no one else uses the boxes. Please don't let this discourage you from your quizzes. I need them

Actually, Brett ...I wouldn't think you would see any "more" or have a slight zoom effect ... you'd just see an expanded screen, and the surface clutter would be at the top of the screen (like it is, now), but the coloration below the "bottom" would just be "deeper" (take up more screen).

The image on the screen is captive to the number of vertical & horizontal pixels, so there wouldn't really be any "more" information displayed.

I think that's right, but I'm not 100% positive ... as I'm not familiar with whatever unit Rickie is using.
