Default 32" Monitor only 35 watts

So why ain't anyone built an out put jack for hooking up a 2nd monitor" What about using a wi fi card in the slot will that be able to wi fi out video? I miss so much out on the water and when I get home it is like check that out I should have stopped and fished that! Kind of weird that a 19" monitor only cost $100 yet a 10" screen cost $1500 more than 5" on the fish finders????

Hbird and Lowrance have video out but trying to find a reasonably priced water proof sunlight viewable monitor for less cost then a full depth finder is not possible.

I've even read a post long ago about a guy that built a waterproof Lexan box to put a 2nd monitor in...

I think he had so much time and $$ in the box that it still would have been cheaper to buy a 2nd unit...

There's no reason you can't hook any monitor with RCA jacks to "Video Out" of a 800/900/1100 series HB....

Takes pix and let us see your experiments...

Normal monitors suck in the sun. Outdoor rated monitors cost big time.

We have a couple of 12 vdc outdoor monitors about to be replaced. I and about 10 others are going to bid for them. I have never won one of these but I'm hoping.

I have a Garmin 3010c I might sell if you interested. It has 2 composite video inputs. It is in excellent condition

    .
I still have the books, external gps, box, etc. Nice unit.

I now use my Motion Computing tablet which is daylight viewable.

Expensive unit when new. Looks like below link.

I believe the Humminbird has composite video out whereas the Lowrance has composite video in. You could watch the HB on the Lowrance but not vice a verse.

You are correct that the HB has composite out ...

This cable adapts it to RCA Video and Audio out..(I still don't know why there's an Audio out ...unless one would want to hear the units menu alarms on the external device)...

The Garmin 3010c has VGA out (15 pin monitor). I never could find a daylight viewable monitor cheap enough to try it out. Like all said, they are overpriced.
