I was losing the bottom when I'd get around 25 mph and was told to get a switch . I was told I needed a switch to use 2 ducer its not a shoot through.US3 so I can use the 2d transducer for running alittle faster from place to place . its a switch to change from ducer 1 to ducer 2 , I have a splitter cable but thought I had to use this high dollar switch

The US3 switch allows 2 head units to be connected to 1 xducer..
The TS3 switch allows 2 xducer's to be connected to 1 head unit...(I assume this is yours...??...)
While the switch will work with your setup...it is not a necessity...
The AS SIDB Y cable would allow your head unit to receive 2d from the Dual Beam xducer...and then receive SI and Temp from the HDSI xducer...this is a little simpler setup as there is no "switching" needed...(the head unit just sees the 2 xducer's as all data coming from 1 xducer)..

If I'm.not mistaken I was told I needed that switch to use my other transducer ,I think I have one of those splinter cables . So I spent $80 on a switch I didn't need.

Here's the silver lining....
You already have most of what you need to setup the separate DI xducer....
If you purchase 1 of the HB dedicated DI xducer's....your setup would look like this...:
*Your stock HDSI xducer hooked to the "Side Image" leg of the AS SIDB Y cable ...
*Your present 2d xducer (XNT 9 20?...XNT 9 20 T?) hooked to the "Dual Beam" leg of the AS SIDB Y cable..
*The AS SIDB Y cable hooked to the "Line Thru" leg of the HB TS3 switch ...
*Your choice of HB DI xducer hooked to the "Switch Thru" leg of the HB TS3 switch...
Your options in s HB DI xducer are...
*XNT 9 DI T ... 200kHz 25°/ 455kHz 16°... (This is a transom mount)...
*XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ..200kHz 20°/ 83kHz 60°... (This is a TM mount)...
Now...the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T would have to have a custom transom mount bracket made to mount on the transom because it's a TM puck...but it may be worth it due to the versatility of the 200kHz 20°/ 83kHz 60° to be used in this setup...plus any future experimental setups that would require the 200kHz 20°/ 83kHz 60°...
You would have to decide if you want simple...(buy the XNT 9 DI T ...plug it in and go fishing)...
Or a little extra setup time...(buy the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...make a transom bracket..plug it in and go fishing)...
Either way...the only added cost at this point is just the DI xducer...because you already have the other needed parts to run HDSI for SI/2d (idle speed and high speed)...and dedicated DI thru your HB SI unit...

Another thought is to buy the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T and mount it to your TM ...that's where you'd probably use the DI anyway...
Then you would have ...
*HDSI - SI/XNT 9 20 - 2d ...on the transom....(you could still use the "DI from SI" feature of the SI unit here)...
*XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ... DI/2d on the TM...
*HB TS3 switch to easily switch between the 2 ...
