    Default Mud vs Rock bottoms

Went to a diff. lake today. First trip out last weekend was a rock bottom, today mainly mud. Found this boat and was noticing that the sharper images I got at other lake lack here.

Played with it some but any tips for the 898 would be a great help.

This after playing around with it but still think it should be better

The 1st image is just a tad grainy...did you have Sharpness on any setting other than "Off"...??

The 2nd image looks less grainy ...but smears (bottom half of right SI and top half of left SI) would possibly indicate the boat turning during its displayed history track...causing the "outside" arc of the boat turn to skew that side of the SI image...

(If the smears in the SI image started and stopped at the same time in the displayed history...and identical left and right ...it would indicate the Chart Speed was changed during the displaying of the screen history)...

They both are still very good shots...(looks like a few "possible" fish around the stumps in the top left of the 1st image..)

Sometimes it's very difficult to keep the boat on an exact perfect straight track thru the entire time it takes for the history to scroll down the screen...(especially when trying to obtain perfect forum postable images)...

As long as the anomalies in the image are understood what causes them....

Keep posting pix...we can always learn from each other...

A lot of times those lone trees are the best since the crappie don't have a lot of other choices of where to hang out.
