Rickie I am on V6.68 on my 958. I have looked for the 200/83 and it is not there currently. Hmmmm now that I get to rereading your post above I wonder if it will change if I had the other ducer and went to choose it on system setup or wherever the heck that place is that you choose your stuff.

Dang I can tell I should have done a lot more reading and studying all the different transducers and parts. You lost me when you started, LOL! I just never did my home work on my HB's. I had the 1197 for several years and now a 1198 and am ignorant as a rock it seems.

    Redge,
Are you sure you don’t have the “DI 200/83) menu option? Check under the Sonar menu tab for the “Transducer Select” menu and see what setting options it gives you. You do not have to have the transducer connected to see the menu options.

Skip as long as you can tie jigs like you do, don't worry about the fishfinder!
Greg I will check it out further this weekend. I am positive on the software version. I did look for the 200/83 but will do some more looking this time.

Did some looking while fishing! 200/83 not an option with ducer that shipped w 958. However if I choose the ducer off the network of the 1198 the 200/83 is in the 958 menu. Apparently the menu is transducer specific.

Redge...the "Transducer Select" menu is farther down in that same "Sonar" tab...

It should have options like "DI + 200/455"...."DI + 200/83".....""Dual Beam".... "Quadra Beam"....

You may have to be in "Advanced User" mode (under "Setup" tab)...

It's 4th from the bottom in my 1197...

Rickie finally figured it out, the 958 says Connected Transducer. I have the following options. DI 200/455, Dual 50/200, Dual Beam, Quad Bean, DI 200/50.
