    As a Humminbird owner of a 898 and 1198... I switched to Lowrance touch. I have not looked back yet. I will admit the HB SI range was brighter further but only by a hair. The HB DI was useless. The Lowrance DI is amazing and the clarity is better. The fine tuning is much less with the Lowrance. I have to constantly push buttons on the HB to get a good image quality. Here are a few for Kosmo to tune his HB with

    Gobble.the same thing over and over.no range and your Di well my crappie Di from si could do that well on that same structure

    Kosmo - That DI picture you posted it SO CLEAR - Said nobody ever! LOL

    You need to adjust your 2D pluck. The lines are slanted due to your pluck not being level with the water surface.

    I was toying with the 2D sensitivity in my picture. Check it out.
