I agree, It is easier to go back and delete all the unwanted waypoints, rather than just pushing a button to add the ones you want. Don't know what I was thinking.
six of one, half a dozen on another. Lowrance requires an extra step ig you want to mark a waypoint, H/B requires you to delete one if you don't want it. I f you are a picture taker, I guess
Six of one, half a dozen of another. A Lowrance user must do an extra step to mark a waypoint, and an H/B user must do an extra step to delete the waypoint. If you are a picture taker, Lowrance is a better choice. If you like pictures of your waypoints H/B seems easier. Neither Lowrance, Humminbird, Lakemaster nor Navionics has the mapping I need. Garmin is my choice for mapping, and I'm well satisfied with it. No need to network.

If I'm snapping a lot of pix (like during some of my xducer testing)...
I just delete all my NAV data when I'm done for the day....
I keep all my useful waypoints backed up on a designated SD Card just for waypoints anyway...(deleting my unit's memory does not harm my backup on the SD Card )...
If I'm fishing and want to capture a random shot...I delete the waypoint immediately after taking the screenshots..
It's not that difficult to delete a waypoint...I just wish HB would give us the option ...
But I understand...new "breakthru" products (iLink, 360, etc)...make more money for the HB stockholders than "free" updates for present units...
