KOSMO, how is the 360 working out? And the latest updates?

brettw, get your hands on any of the units you're interested in, push the buttons and buy what works best for you. Both companies make great units, both companies have their issues and both companies have their nut swingers that will swear theirs is the greatest. Buy what YOU like and get out on the water and enjoy.

    And BTW...all of you...

Can we keep this thread on topic and discuss features (and even lack of features)...without slipping into the "Brand loyalty crap" again...??
(and yes, any mention of whichever "the other brand" in a negative wording intent...counts as "brand loyalty crap"...)

It's a shame mod's are having to lock potential informative threads....

Im not sure if Im on topic with this post or not but if a person was inklind to they for not a hole lot of money turn a humminbird si unit into sort of a hybrid with a switch and di transducer. then you could have (imo) the best si and pretty decent Di and the only forward looking unit between lowrace and humminbird.but that 360 will cost a little. here's a picture with my 998 using a dedicated Di.

    Kosmo,
I may have asked you this before but Exactly what switch and DI transducer are you using? What is the set up? My 998 came with an extra split cable, i assume it's for an extra transducer.
    thanks again,
maybe this is the way to go for me. i have the 998c hd si

Brettw-presently Im running my stock si transducer tilted 60°.i have a (as- sidb y cable) no switch installed. Im using a second transducer to receive my 2d.this is not the only option though .It just depends on how you want to use your unit.humminbird has dedicated Di transducers than can be used. You could do that and install a humminbird transducer switch to toggle between the dedicated Di transducer and the stock si transducer.or you could just plug a dedicated Di transducer strait into the back of your 998 replacing the si transducer but you wouldn't have si with that option.
